::CNY Celebration in school and what we've learnt so far::
Monday, January 23, 2012

Last Friday, we celebrated CNY in school. Pupils get to wear their pretty home clothes. My pupils looked forward to the concert and especially anxious about the lion dance performance. Check out our CNY pictures.

As for last week, 1A had already started reading on a new big book, 'Mrs Wishy Washy'. It is one of Ms Salina's favourite big book to read and there will always be interesting extension acitivities to this book. I've placed a big tub on the EL Wall and pupils could draw and colour things they would like Mrs Wishy Washy to scrub. They just need to paste their pictures on the tub and the bubbles.

As for Math, we've completed Number Bonds and moving on to Addition within 10. Number Bonds can be further revised at home as some pupils really need to grasp this concept very well as to help them with bigger numbers in future. Pupils should be able to tell me pairs of numbers that make up 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Parents can help by going through this verbally at home.
